Nexta for transport and logistics

The game has changed for carriers. It is no longer about reporting emissions.

You sit at the centre of the chain. Customers, regulators and the market demand more than delivering freight: they demand information, accountability and continuous improvement, with data connected to its source, method and associated evidence, where applicable.

From operations to evidence. From evidence to decisions.

  • No card
  • The inventory is yours
  • Open calculation record
Why now

Four pressures arrived together at the carrier’s door.

None of them waits for the next. All four demand the same thing: data connected to its source, method and associated evidence, where applicable.

Regulation

Selo ESG Cargas

ANTT · Resolution 6.086/2026

What changes

  • ESG stops being a differentiator and becomes a requirement
  • It weighs on reputation, access to freight and tenders

What Nexta covers

  • GHG Protocol
  • ISO 14064
  • IFRS S2

Climate and carbon

118.7 MtCO₂e

freight transport in Brazil, 2024 · SEEG 13, 2025

What changes

  • Stable compared with 2023
  • The sector remains diesel-intensive and under pressure to reduce

What Nexta covers

  • Scope 1 · mobile combustion
  • Scope 3 · Cat. 4 and 9

Customers and market

+70%

of large shippers already ask their partners for ESG data · BCG, 2024

What changes

  • Without reliable data, you drop out of the chain
  • Customer questionnaires become recurring work

What Nexta covers

  • CDP Supply Chain
  • EcoVadis
  • Shipper questionnaire

Evidence and transparency

RNTRC · MDF-e · CIOT

digital traceability of the operation · ANTT, 2024–2026

What changes

  • Data without evidence does not become information
  • Information without management does not become an advantage

What Nexta covers

  • Audit trail
  • Calculation record per entry

There is another regulation

It does not look at your sector. It looks at your volume.

The SBCE is Brazil’s regulated carbon market, created by Law 15.042/2024. Operations above 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year may become subject to a monitoring and reporting plan, and above 25,000 the law also provides for periodic reconciliation. The threshold does not look at the sector: at a carrier, own fleet, mileage and diesel add up quickly. Those who find out their number through the inventory have time to get organized; those who find out when it is demanded of them do not.

Thresholds from art. 30 of Law 15.042/2024. Actual coverage depends on the applicable regulation and timetable. Updated on September 1, 2026.

10,000tCO₂e/year is where regulation begins; above 25,000 it increases

The real problem

You already have the data. What is missing is turning it into intelligence.

The operation produces information every day, in different systems, with different criteria and no single methodological record. Connecting it is the work.

The problem is not calculating CO₂. It is turning scattered operational data into reliable information to decide, answer the customer and support compliance. That is the connection Nexta creates.

Different sources

Each system speaks its own language and measures in its own unit.

Different criteria

The same trip calculated two ways gives two numbers.

Scattered evidence

The receipt exists, but it is not tied to the number it supports.

No method record

The following year nobody remembers which factor was used, or why.

From operations to decisions

Seven steps, a single path.

We connect data, method, evidence and analysis to turn information into a competitive advantage.

  1. 01 Connect Brings together data from many operational sources: ERP, TMS, telematics, fuel card, invoice.
  2. 02 Standardize Applies a consistent methodology and up-to-date factors, the same across the whole fleet.
  3. 03 Calculate Produces the inventory by source, activity, scope and metric.
  4. 04 Document Keeps data connected to its source, method and associated evidence, where applicable.
  5. 05 Analyse Identifies hotspots, trends and reduction opportunities.
  6. 06 Prioritize Turns insight into action with measurable impact and return.
  7. 07 Manage Tracks KPIs, targets and progress over time.

The same data can be reused in the inventory, in customer questionnaires and in audit processes, keeping its context.

That is the difference between having an inventory and having climate management.

How to start

Every carrier has its own starting point. Choose yours.

This is not a mandatory three-step track. It is where it makes sense to come in today. You can move forward later without starting over.

GHG Inventory

Establish the emissions baseline for the transport operation.

Scopes 1, 2 and 3 according to boundary, method and available data, and not as an automatic checklist for every carrier.

  • Mobile combustion and fuel consumption
  • Own fleet
  • Contracted transport and third-party fleet, when they are in the inventory
  • Energy at depots, garages and operating centres
  • Scope 3, especially Cat. 4 and Cat. 9, depending on position in the chain
  • Other material sources, where the data supports them

Declared method and a calculation record per entry.

Assessment and priorities

Identify where the main ESG and climate gaps are before turning everything into a project.

  • ESG maturity
  • Priority gaps
  • Physical and transition climate risks
  • Customer pressure and supply-chain requirements
  • Third-party and supplier management, where material
  • Efficiency and emission reduction opportunities
  • Prioritized initial action plan

Find out where to concentrate effort, investment and evidence first.

Action plan and targets

Turn priority into trackable action.

Nexta organizes the ESG and climate layer of the operation. It does not replace the TMS, ERP, telematics, tracking or route planner.

  • Climate and ESG targets
  • MAC curve and cost per tonne avoided, where the data allows
  • Plans linked to operational efficiency, fleet, fuels or suppliers
  • Owner, deadline and follow-up
  • Progress indicators
  • Evidence and documentation for customers, audits and applicable requirements

Turn priority into action, track progress and be able to prove what was done.

Continuous improvement cycle

Measure, learn, prioritize and evolve. When a customer, the market or regulation brings a new requirement, management does not have to start from scratch.

  1. Measure
  2. Analyse
  3. Prioritize
  4. Execute
  5. Prove
  6. Evolve
What this gives back

Climate management stops being a compliance cost. It starts protecting and creating value.

With reliable data and continuous intelligence, information becomes decisions and results, for today and for the next contract.

How Nexta helps

Nexta connects, organizes and turns data into decisions.

From collection to evidence, from analysis to action. One platform for the whole ESG journey.

  1. Operational data Fuel, fleet, trips and systems.
  2. Intelligence Method, context and reliable calculation.
  3. Decision Where to act first, with data, method and context connected.
  4. Action A plan with an owner, a deadline and follow-up.
  5. Evidence Source, method and evidence organized to support answers to customers and audit processes.

More confidence. Less rework. Better decisions. Results that last.

Where you end up

You do not end with an inventory. You end knowing what to prioritize and how to prove it.

Reliable data, better decisions, controlled risk and results that create value. That is what remains once the spreadsheet is closed.

The inventory is yours, with the calculation record open. No card needed to start.
